Yellow line of normality
AFTER SO MANY DAYS under the snow, the yellow line was almost glaring. It was strange not seeing the white snow at my feet and hearing the crunchy ice underneath my shoes.
Itβs a shame that normality is still so very cold, and wet, and gray, though.

Shutterbug bites again
ONE BAD THING about film is that it requires more work to keep track of when and where pictures were taken. It also lacks the convenience of EXIF to record exposure.
The other trouble with film is that after the shots are made, it can take weeks and even months before I finally develop them.
Anyway, just after Christmas, the shutter-bug bit me again, and I brought three rolls to be developed β I could not be bothered to do it myself β whence the first disadvantage of film cropped up on me: the shots were taken between May and now, and I have no idea of their exact dates and occasions although I do remember the places (fortunately).
However, there are nice things about film. For one, it forces me to be selective about my shots β out of one 24-frame roll, I picked just four pictures. Secondly, what is perhaps the biggest advantage of film is demonstrated in this picture: it takes a lot of work to over-expose a shot.
Try to make this picture on a digital camera, capturing both the bright white clouds and the shadows at the windows, then you realise what film has to offer.
