YOU JUST gotta love film and its tolerance for over-exposure.

See how the following picture is over-exposed to the point of almost no detail in the dish of fried rice (left) and how the details have been pulled out through processing (right).

If you own a film SLR, don’t discard it yet. Instead, get a decent scanner and a DIY C-41 development kit, and you will get as much from your camera as you would from the current high-end digital SLRs.
