Foray into 35mm film development

I STARTED doing my own C-41 film development last week. The colours came out very off, which I attributed to me missing a few seconds at the beginning of the developer phase of the process — the most crucial moment.

Anyway, after a bit of playing around with GIMP, here is a before-after combination.

And, here’s the C-41 development kit.

I Shoot Film

I STARTED shooting film recently with a Nikon SLR. When the camera was delivered, it had a roll of ASA 400 film in it, which gave me the opportunity to check that it was working. This is one of the shots. Colours are a bit off, but what can you expect from film that has an expiry date of 1987?

I Shoot Film is also the name of a Flickr group for those who shoot flim.
